SOAS – Review of Research Finance

Research Consulting conducted a limited-scope review of research finance at SOAS University of London. The review was undertaken in February and March 2018. In this work, we focused on identifying gaps between the School’s current provision and sector best practice and developing a shared understanding across relevant participants of the key opportunities for development.

In order to assess the current provision of finance services for research, and potential complexities arising from the shift towards large-scale multi-partner grants, we assessed current support and provision in a number of key areas. We conducted qualitative interviews with key SOAS staff to further understand the School’s current provision versus sector best practices, and produced a report setting out a series of recommendations for improvement.
