Academic stakeholder survey for enterprise support services

Research Consulting were commissioned by a UK research institution to conduct a consultation of academics and researchers on their interactions, perceptions and experience of knowledge exchange support services. The consultation consisted of a 14-question survey with questions covering the number and type of interactions with the enterprise support function, the quality of the interactions, the overall quality of the work of the enterprise function as well as barriers to research collaborations with industry partners.

The survey was completed by nearly 80 respondents, the majority of respondents were researchers and scientific staff, but they also included PhD students and individuals in managerial or support roles.

The survey was first undertaken in 2016 and repeated in 2019, allowing a comparative assessment.
