Just before Christmas, the Research Consulting team released Research Management: The Game – a collaborative team game allowing players to experience the thrill of managing their own research institutes. Since then, our game – dealing with public policy changes, the lottery of funding and even Brexit – has been downloaded more than 700 times!
Research Management was developed back in October, initially as a team building activity for EARMA students studying for their Certificate in Research Management. The game received some great feedback with one student describing it as “the most valuable aspect of the workshop”.
Very quickly, the game became popular amongst the RC team, and apparently with a number of our Twitter followers too!
If you’d like to give it a go, you can find all of the instructions and materials at this link. The Game can be played by 5 to 30 people and should take between 40 to 90 minutes.
