Developing an impact report highlighting Liverpool John Moore University’s progress towards the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

Liverpool John Moores University UN SDG Impact Report

Research Consulting was commissioned by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) to prepare a report showcasing the impact of the University’s research and wider activities against the 17 United Nation Sustainable Development Goals.

At the start of the project, LJMU provided us with a range of information compiled from various documents relating to the 2022/2023 academic year, such as REF Impact case studies, blog posts, press releases and academic literature. We systematically categorised the documents against each of the Sustainable Development Goals and assessed each document for its alignment with each of the goals and against the University’s strategic pillars and objectives. Through close collaboration with LJMU, we identified and agreed on examples to showcase in the final report.

The data collected was synthesised and a draft report prepared which underwent review by LJMU. We collaborated with Crayfish Design who provided the report template and design work, including infographics in the report. Once the narrative was incorporated into the design template a further round of revisions by LMJU were undertaken before the report was finalised.

This work was published as a public report by Liverpool John Moores University.
