Most recently Liz worked as Director of Open Research Development and Innovation at Taylor & Francis and helped to shape new approaches and partnerships to enable open science publishing. Prior to moving into academic publishing, Liz led the Evaluation Team at the biomedical research funding agency, Wellcome.

Liz serves on several expert Advisory Groups, including the Advisory Board for the UK Software Sustainability Institute and the TIER2 Project, which is focused on enhancing trust, integrity and reproducibility in research. She is co-founder and project lead for CRediT (the Contributor Roles Taxonomy), was one of the first Board Directors of ORCID, and was an author of the original Metric Tide report, which has been influential in shaping more responsible approaches to research assessment.

Liz will be joining Research Consulting as an Associate Director, using her expertise to support our clients and drive impactful outcomes alongside her other research-related projects and initiatives.
