With a background in Economics and experience in consultancy and higher education, I am skilled at building strong relationships and co-creating projects with clients in the public and private sectors.
In my previous role at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in the Strategic Partnerships team, I led work supporting the development of new and existing external partners in a range of strategic development areas for the university: research, talent and skills. This role involved identifying research opportunities mapped to client challenges, suggesting relevant skills opportunities such as degree apprenticeships or doctoral studentships and finding new industry employability prospects which suited both students and clients. My experience at NTU gave me insight into the structure and workings of a university and the breadth of opportunities that are available to academics, researchers, students and businesses.
Prior to this, I worked for Focus Consultants in the funding and economic development team, which involved working with clients in the cultural and heritage sectors. Here I supported the preparation of business plans, needs analyses, economic impact reports and funding applications (e.g. ERDF), as well as leading on data collection and analysis.
